SINPOSPq, the International Symposium of Post-graduation and Research, was founded as part of the Project for Internationalizing the Post-graduate course (Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biosciences Applied to Pharmacy and Toxicology) of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto (FCFRP), University of São Paulo, Brazil. The Symposium was created in 2001, envisioning on stimulate the scientific exchange with foreign researchers.

The event is organized by graduate students from FCFRP and supported by a Professors Committee. The aims of SINPOSPq are to provide the dissemination of the researches carried out  at FCFRP, as well as to disseminate new technologies and methods which are  relevant to the Pharmaceutical Sciences, to promote discussions on scientific publications in national and international journals and, especially, provide greater integration between the undergraduate, graduate and renowned researchers from Brazil and abroad. For this purpose, the event carries out lectures, conferences and roundtables, beyond the scientific work developed by participants.

The first SINPOSPq was held in 2004 and since then, it happens every two years. The previous editions had nearly 300 inscriptions each, including undergraduate and graduate students, professors and professionals from health area, besides 15 Brazilian and foreign speakers.
