3rd SINPospQ: Graduate students, what to expect for the future?
SINPOSPq, the International Symposium of Post-graduation and Research, was founded as part of the Project for Internationalizing the Graduate Students Programs (Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biosciences Applied to Pharmacy and Toxicology) of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto (FCFRP), University of São Paulo, Brazil. The Symposium was created in 2001, envisioning the stimulation of scientific internship between researchers from different nationalities. The event is organized by graduate students from FCFRP and supported by a Professors Committee.
The aims of SINPOSPq are to proportionate the diffusion of scientific research developed at FCFRP, as well as to divulge the new technologies and methodologies relating to the Pharmaceutical Sciences, to promote debates on national and international scientific publications, and, mainly, to integrate undergraduate and graduated students and renowned researchers around the world. In this way, the event carries out lectures, conferences, round tables, besides the presentation of scientific works.
The first SINPOSPq occurred in 2004, and, since then, takes place once in tow two years. The previous editions had nearly 300 inscriptions each, including undergraduate and graduate students, professors and professionals from health area, besides 15 Brazilian and foreign speakers. The 2008 edition, the year which FCFRP Post-graduation completes its 20th Anniversary, the SINPOSPQ Organizing Committee estimates 350 inscriptions and 20 speakers, including 3 speakers from abroad. In addition, it was confirmed the presence of Dr. Suely Vilela, Dean of the University of São Paulo, and Dr. Armando Corbani Ferraz, Pro-Dean of Post-graduation.
